Scribkin: Social Media from an Unexpected Place: Microsoft!

It is so easy and fodder for many bloggers but over the years I've learned to never count Microsoft as out of any game it sets its sights on. They may not always do it right :) but when they do join the game they have an impact on it - even if most of their project names are boring as hell.

I agree Steven. People might like to discount the elephant in the room, but look at any statistic showing number of servers on the web running IIS or companies using exchange server, and it's enormous.

I have no doubt that 1) their social bookmarking push will get ignored by the early adopter crowd, and 2) it will be around a lot longer, and used by more people, than any existing social bookmarking web app.
