Hey, thanks for the add, heh. I've been working on managing my own signal and noise output, and surprisingly, my blog has been sparse lately as I'm in that identity crisis stage of 'yeah I love talking about geek things but my audience is not fully geeks'.

The most important things in my life tend to be the things I share on Google Reader and Flickr photos (accessible through friendfeed/spin). I don't wanna talk about twitter no mo'.

blern has definitely popped up on my radar, mostly in ego-searches where I find where my blog entries have been linked. Now that you have raised it formally though, I'll go sign up for it and check it out.

Ah yes. To be honest it is easier for me to generate the table by dragging the links from Toluu into Live Writer. However, I realized after I did it on my first post that it also serves to drive people to Toluu and get set up to start sharing their feeds, without beating them over the heads with it. You get a nice feed view inside Toluu and the title links back to the blog.

I haven't had any complaints thus far, at any rate.

I struggled with this problem long ago and that was what instigated my creation of blern.com. I wanted a site that would go out and find the interesting content for me, so I didn't have to wade around an ocean trying to find it. You might consider it...

Sure Colin, you are definitely one my to-read list. As for my estimates, they are quite rough. I'm not one to measure everything I do every moment of the day, so I can only describe in relative terms how my new feed mix feels. Hopefully it gives people a good sense of what will happen, though, if they try it themselves.

I share 2-3 articles per day on average, so you won't get too overloaded, it's usually a mix of technology, social media, and things that I find hilarious.

Thanks for the inclusion Phil. I really appreciate it and it's fascinating to watch your journey through this.

I tend to cull my feeds from time to time but have never been race enough to go this far with it. It's interesting to note the 90 - 10 figures yuou've been getting with regards to news vs feeds - just goes to show how much recycling goes on.

Actually, I'm using the straight FriendFeed Friends RSS feed from RSSmeme. You're right though, I should probably re-visit it to see if there is any tweaking I can do.

Glad I made the cut! I'm not bold enough to go with the whole reset thing, but I've been paring back on FriendFeed subscriptions and finding new ones, which has been working quite well.

I'm excited to see how this turns out for you. Obviously I hope you end up choosing RSSmeme but even if you sway towards ReadBurner I'd like to hear why and hopefully win you back with some improvements.
